Analytics Update Oct 2020

On the 5th October 2020, we push an update to the analytics that solved a number of challenges...

We are pushing forward to becoming IAB compliant, you can view these guidelines here.

Therefore, you may have seen a drop in downloads as previously we were tracking things like:

• Very short plays
• Automated pings from directories
• Page loads

As downloads. Going forward, these do not count.

The update was pushed live on 5th October and is fully retroactive so that all historic downloads are now tracked in this new format.

Though we understand this is frustrating, you can now be safe in the knowledge that each download you now see in bCast is definitely a person listening to your podcast episode!
